Assist with customer sales and by providing product and/ or customer sales information specifically for customer projects. Provide quotes and sales order dimension information, both electronically and over the phone. Process special and stock material orders, product submittals and other customer service requirements. Coordinate jobsite deliveries.

Job Description

· Responds to customer requests regarding product selection, placement of orders, prices and quotations, and scheduling of deliveries and installations.

· Coordinates purchase and delivery of special products. Obtains customer sign offs and confirmations on submittals of details of special-order products.

· Places purchase orders for special order materials, checks vendor acknowledgments and follows up to ensure timely delivery to jobsites.

· Provides customer and sales follow-ups for orders, quotes, and deliveries.

· Follows up backorders and reviews open orders daily to keep jobsites current with needed materials.

· Coordinates jobsite deliveries

· Complies with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.

· Other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements

· Minimum education required— High School Diploma or GED.

· Minimum experience required— 1-2 years in the building material industry.

· Special skills required— Ability to operate computer and calculator. Ability to multitask, process and organize multiple time sensitive priorities.

· Good interpersonal and customer relations skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.

·Generally good professional dress and appearance are required.

· Must be able to walk throughout yards, job sites and offices.

· Physical demands include the ability to lift 5 lbs. on a consistent basis and up to 25 pounds on occasion. Bending, stooping or sitting for long periods of time.

· Hourly rate and/or commissions based on experience. Standard Dartmouth Building Supply benefits package.

· Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
